I am the type that loves camping, and I've had several years when I made my living while camping (in the desert, in the winter, without the water fountain or pit toilet). But do spend time reading any of the many camping recipe websites. I eat better when I camp than I do at home. And do plan for a shower. A shower takes a rustic campsite and raises it above all but the best NPS campgrounds.
